Membership and Dues

General Information

Membership eligibility is based solely on interest in the paranormal and a willingness to participate in investigative activities. Sixth Sense Paranormal does not discriminate based on gender, race, religion, political, social, or spiritual beliefs.


Sixth Sense Paranormal reserves the right to deny, or cancel, membership to those individuals who do not observe the rules and guidelines of the group, do not contribute positively to the group mission, or prove to be a safety or legal liability to the group. Candidates for membership must be 18 years old and able to produce proof of age where necessary.


Probationary Membership

Candidates for membership in Sixth Sense Paranormal will complete a probation period of not less than three investigations after an initial informal interview.

The purpose of the probationary period is to offer prospective members an opportunity to experience the investigative process and determine their compatibility with group dynamics. Due to liability issues, probationary members are restricted to public/training investigations only.

 

Full Membership

Offered to members who satisfactorily complete the probationary period and membership interview. Full members agree to pay annual dues as outlined in the membership application. Membership dues contribute to operating overhead, website fees, and other group expenses.

Membership dues are non-refundable.

 
Member Certifications

Members are considered to be 'in training' until completion of training for one or more of the following investigative positions.

  • Technician
  • Researcher
  • Interviewer
  • Lead Investigator
  • Psychic / Sensitive*

Members are encouraged to train for, and hold, as many certifications as they wish.

*Certification of psychic sensitivity or ability will be verified by the member's psychic peers.


SSP POSITIONS

All positions within Sixth Sense Paranormal are voluntary positions. These positions include (but are not limited to):

  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Webmaster
  • Membership Coordinator
  • Public Relations - to be shared by all paid members (job description available)
  • Case Manager - to be shared by all paid members (job description available)
  • Technician

 

RULES OF CONDUCT

Investigation Attire. When assigned to an investigation, individuals will conform to the following:

  • Wear blue jeans or dark colored pants.
  • Wear a black Sixth Sense shirt, black or dark colored shirt or t-shirt without offensive visuals or words.
  • Wear dark shoes or boots appropriate to the investigation area and dark socks. Sandals, flip-flops, and reflective accessories are prohibited.
  • During inclement or cold weather, a dark colored coat or jacket is recommended.
  • Jewelry should not be worn during investigations. Watches, if worn, should be dark and non-luminous and must remain covered during the investigation.
  • Refrain from wearing perfumes, after shave, or cologne during investigations.

 

Members must not be under the influence of alcohol, prescription or nonprescription drugs or any other substance, controlled or otherwise, that might inhibit or enhance their judgement or perception of reality during investigations or non-social group activities.

 

Sixth Sense Paranormal reserves the right to publicize verified evidence of paranormal activity, for scientific purposes. Such disclosures will keep client names and locations anonymous. Any evidence can only be posted on the website with the express prior permission of the client. Non-paid members cannot have evidence posted until full membership requirements have been met and membership has been paid in full.

 

Investigation results are the property of the investigator and the client. The client's privacy and security will always be a group priority. If/when evidentiary results are posted on the website, the investigator shall be given full credit for his/her evidence, if so desired, always ensuring complete client anonymity as it pertains to the location and name of the client.

 

Members agree not to share information concerning Sixth Sense Paranormal investigations or clients with other paranormal organizations or investigative agencies.

 

Sixth Sense Paranormal is an investigative and educational organization. While dedicated to helping clients deal with the issues of their case, the group does not perform 'cleansings' or 'banishments' of active spirit presences.
